Australia's Property Market Is Not Slowing Down – the continuous demand for properties in Sydney is contrasting to an undersupply of houses and apartments pushing up sale prices and rents. According to investment advisor Michael Yardney “Sydney property prices increased 0.1% over the last week..0.3% over the last month and are 9.2% higher than they were 12 months ago”.

Sue Williams at domain.com.au writes “Australia's property markets have had a blistering start to the year, and agents have been heartened by strong clearance rates, lifts in the number of listings, and strong buyer demand.” She predicts “with a cut in interest rates on the horizon either later in 2024 or early in 2025, there's a new optimism flooding the industry.”

Property Management News:
As we start to approach winter, the number of rental enquires has started to slow per normal trends, however we are still receiving enquiries overall particularly for 1 & 2 bed properties. According to our Leasing expert Humphrey Sum, the last student intake was in February, so while there is still more demand than supply across the Eastern suburbs and state, with the next student intake in July this is expected to increase again at that time.
